Emerald Centre
Emerald Centre will be a co-ed emergency shelter that provides accommodation for men, women and children who are homeless. The Centre will replace Emerald House and Emerald Hostel. And although the Centre will provide emergency shelter to both men and women, two completely separate areas are being created to ensure all are safe. As with the other shelters, Emerald Centre will be a minimum barrier or “damp” shelter. There will be no clean time required before coming in for a bed. However, the Centre will be recovery-friendly. Our focus will remain the same: helping homeless individuals and families find homes and supports in the community to help maintain stable housing. The Centre is slated to open this spring.
